Fire fighters from Bexhill station helped their Hastings colleagues tackle a blaze in Sunningdale Drive off Filsham Road.
Extra help was needed to deal with the extensive house fire at 9.30 on Monday night.

Crew Commander Dean McFaite said: "We were the first port of call."
Eight breathing apparatus were required, with four hose reels and two main jets. The Fire Victim Support Unit was on hand to help the occupants of the house which was gutted by the fire.

The officer in charge of the operation was Keven Haywood of Green Watch in Bohemia Road.
