9th Bexhill Scout Group gathered for a barbecue at the site in Wainwright Road of their Headquarters which was destroyed by fire a year ago.
Group Scout Leader Shirley Gilbertson said: "We thought it would be a good idea to not only show how much fun a controlled fire can be but also remind everyone in the group where we will be once the headquarters are rebuilt."

A Family Fun Dog Sho

Three trophies will be awarded for, Dog with most points, Best cross bred dog, and Best in Show. The trophies to be kept for one year.
The judges for this event are to be Roy and Louise Hempstead (Elchiro).

There are to be 12 classes to enter at £1.00 per class and the classes are as follows -

Anyone who wishes to join in should be aware that there are very limited facilities at the site so please bring everything you need with you. This should include a chair should you wish to sit and watch.
Organiser Fiona Carrick said: "We are hoping that this event will be very well attended as the Group are going to need to raise a lot more money to start the job of rebuilding the headquarters and get the children back on their own site. "
Entry forms are available direct from Fiona Carrick (1424 217955) and from The Shop at 13 London Road, Town Hall Square.
Any dog owner wishing to join in is welcome to come along on the day to enter from 12.30pm. Judging starts at 2pm.
