Suspicious blaze at campsite

Four caravans were destroyed in a suspicious fire at a Catsfield holiday park over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Fire crews were called to the Senlac Wood Holiday Park, on Catsfield Road, at around 9.45pm yesterday (Monday).
The caravans were well-alight when the two crews from Battle and one from Bexhill arrived on the scene.
Because of the isolated nature of the park, which is set in 20 acres of woodland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, fire crews found it difficult to get access to the blaze.
But the fire was brought under control by midnight and firefighters left the scene at around 1.30am.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Around five caravans other were damaged because of the intense heat from the fire, which happened near some gas cylinders.
Fire investigators believe the blaze may have been started deliberately and inquiries are ongoing.
The Senlac Wood Holiday Park has 32 caravan pitches on site and a tent field with a further 40 pitches.
