Bank robbery charge

A MAN has been charged following an armed robbery in a Seaford bank on Tuesday.
Brian Etienne Patrick Colclough, 39, of Lorne Road, Brighton, appeared before magistrates yesterday morning charged with robbery and having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Barclays, Broad Street was targeted by a gunman at 3.47pm. He was remanded in custody.

Colclough was arrested by police in Tescos car park, Lewes an hour later after the police helicopter was scrambled.

A 41-year-old woman from Brighton, also arrested in connection with the incident, has been bailed to 28 October.
