STUDENTS put on their best evening gear for a May ball.
Fifty Hailsham Community College students and 20 staff feasted and danced the night away at the East Sussex National Golf Course and Spa in Uckfield on Friday.

Mike Morris, head of sixth form, said: 'It was an excellent evening and a wonderful opportunity for students and staff to mix in a friendly formal environment away from the classroom. 'The students conducted themselves fantastically and they looked superb in their formal wear.

'First of all there were Pimms drinks on the terrace and photos. Then the attendees sat down for a three-course sit-down dinner, followed by speeches and a disco. Head girl Sarah Fitch and fellow student Laura Mayers were the main organisers behind the ball.
