May fair parade
MAYFIELD staged a May fair with a medieaval twist on Saturday.
The High Street was closed to through traffic as Green Man Jonny Marsh led the Mayfield Band playing the Floral Dance from St Leonards-Mayfield School through the village.
The band was followed by children from Mayfield CE Primary School and Skippers Hill Preparatory School.
Stalls set up by local traders and village groups lined the High Street and there were pets to make a fuss of in pets corner outside St Dunstan's Church.
The procession featured a May Queen and attendants and visitors enjoyed homemade cakes, biscuits, preserves, fruit, drinks and a hog roast.
