The Wealden Skills Centre hosted an evening to celebrate student success.
Young people received awards for outstanding improvement and most improved during their courses.

All received certificates celebrating completion of their two years' study.

The evening focused on 16-year-olds who have been studying either construction skills or motor cycle maintenance at the Uckfield centre.

Many will return to the Wealden Skills Centre in September to continue their training as full-time students or apprentices.

Centre manager Lin Lucas said: 'This is a terrific evening to recognise the achievements of all our young students.

'We have seen them mature since they came to us at 14 and the skills they have acquired over the two years will take them forward into further study or employment.'
