The national helpline is available during other times on 0845 345 2322 10am-4pm.

Anne said: "Fibromyalgia (Fibro) is a condition which can be very difficult to diagnose as in many cases the symptoms overlap with other medical conditions.

"Patients often don't look too ill ,but can really be suffering as the pain of this condition seems to have no boundaries.
"Research suggests that Fibro may be caused by a malfunctioning of the central nervous system. This dysfunction/malfunction is believed to be the source of the many body wide symptoms."

Primary symptoms include; fatigue, widespread musculosketal pain, specific tender points, muscle stiffness, poor memory or concentration, dizziness or lightheadedness, problems affecting the muscles, tendons and ligaments, headaches, and Irritable bowel.
