THE next meeting of the Battle RSPB Group will take place on Tuesday at Battle and Langton School at 7.30pm when Derek Mepham will be giving an illustrated talk entitled Highlights of India.
We will be shown the Golden Triangle of India – Delhi, Jaipur and Amber – as well as three game parks where tigers are good at hiding!

The photos can only hint at the noise, smells and hectic lifestyles of India. Visitors are welcome for an admission of £3.50 which includes light refreshment.

The group visited Elmley RSPB reserve last Sunday where highlights included a male hen harrier, a great Northern diver and red-breasted merganser as well as hundreds of wigeon and a variety of waders. They will be meeting tomorrow at 1.30pm at Pett Pools to take part in the national coastal survey of beach birds.

More information on any of our activities may be obtained from www.battlerspb.org.uk or 01424 432076.
