Published Date: 22 August 2008
ON Wednesday, August 13, Battle Royal British Legion Club held a Beetle Drive evening.
Despite appalling weather, 24 players, plus helpers, turned up for an enjoyable, fun event.

The club holds about four of these evenings through the year and are a real family affair, this is borne out by the ages of players ranging from 13 to over 80.

No date is yet set for the next one, but will be later this year.
At the forthcoming special meeting to decide on the building of a balcony at the rear of the club, proof of current membership will be required.

All members should hold a members card, but if any member intending to attend finds he/she has not got one, proof of current membership at the club in person or by phone on 774277 during opening hours before the day of the meeting.
