TWENTY members were present, birthday posies presented and details of subscriptions for 2009 given as £29.
There is a garden meeting on Wednesday, August 6 at Alison's. Alison took the meeting as our president is recovering from an operation.
Dr John Ray was the speaker and he talked about 'The Changing Role of Women From 1700'.

Women lived longer than men and worked hard especially, during the first and second wars.

Dr Ray had many humorous stories keeping us laughing most of the afternoon.
