THE chairman welcomed members to the annual meeting and thanked the committee for their work during the past year.
The secretary then gave a short account of the activities of the branch during the past year, and the treasurer a brief statement of the financial circumstances.

The committee then withdrew to discuss various matters before putting their conclusions to the rest of the members, who meanwhile had been enjoying a good natter among themselves.

After a break for tea the meeting was resumed. It was decided to postpone the anniversary lunch until later in the year, and to have the usual birthday tea-party in June and pub lunch in July.

It was decided to give to the same charities again this year: the RNLI and the Wrens' Benevolent Fund.

A donation would be made to St Michael's Hospice in memory of the previous long-serving treasurer.

The Christmas lunch would be held at the usual venue. After the raffle the meeting was closed.

The next meeting will be held on May 6, when any other Wrens will be most welcome. For further details ring the secretary on 01424 215609 or chairman on 01424 222721.
