THERE have now been several meetings at the Ash Tree Inn, courtesy of landlady Jenny Baker, and further meetings of sub groups in members' houses.
The Society has decided to produce the pantomime 'Cinderella' on November 21/22.
Of several published scripts, none seemed to have the more modern dialogue or audience participation that the group desired.
So a script-writing group was set up
and, with joke feedback from the rest of the group, much of the new, unpublished script is now written.
The cast of characters has been determined, although there is still room for additional actors to be built in.
Auditions will probably take place 3pm onwards on June 14, scripts having been given out a week or so before.
A stage, curtains, backdrops, lighting have been sourced but we are still looking for volunteers to help with the sound system, costumes, scenery painting and even coming forward to audition for one of the parts.
The fund-raising group has organised a stall at the Brownbread Horse Rescue Open Day on May 18.
Gill and Carol will be on the stall much of the time, helped out during the day by other members of the group, and anyone with produce or items that can be sold are invited to get in contact with Gill, 01424 892674.
The second event will be a family quiz evening on May 23 in the village hall. This will also include a ploughmans and a raffle - prizes invited please, again contact Gill.
One of the biggest village carnivals locally is at Ninfield on July 19 and members of PANTS are hoping to put in an appearance in the procession.
A week later, July 26, PANTS hope to organise the 'High Weald Games' on the recreation ground in Ashburnham.
This will be a fund-raising day with emphasis on fun games for adults and children many with a rural theme.
