THE club's annual general meeting was held at the Playden WI Hall at the end of April.
Elected committee members were: Chairman - Colin Page, Vice-Chairman - Nick Chillingworth; Secretary - Annie O' Leary, Programme Secretary - Wendy Harvey; Slide Secretary - Terry George; Print Secretary - John Trowell; and Treasurer - Andrew Maylam.

A further three committee members were elected in Roger Chisholm-Batten, Melvin Smith and John Bogle.

Following the election of officers was the annual slide 'Knock Out' - winner John Bogle, runner up Roger Chisholm-Batten.

A presentation of awards finished off the well-attended evening, with winning trophies & certificates going to Colin Page, Andrew Maylam, John Bogle, Pat Cooke, John Lett, Peter Twynn, Terry George, Richard Cooper, Wendy Harvey, Nick Chillingworth, Ian Hart, Melvin Smith, John Trowell, Terry Harvey, John Hodges and Maureen Thomas.

The chairman was very pleased with the club's achievements this season, and thanked everybody for their contributions. Especially pleasing was the amount of new members who had joined, and the fact that they had all done so well.

New members are always welcome and the new season starts on September 1, at Playden WI Hall, 7.30pm, so why not come and see for yourselves, there is no obligation to join.

Also make a note in your diary for Saturday, September 13, when the club will be holding its annual Print Exhibition at the Further Education Centre, Lion Street, Rye, from 10am to 6pm (free entry).
