OAKS Driving Club, the leading carriage club in East Sussex, held its opening meet of the summer season recently at Kitchenham Farm, near Battle, thanks to hosts Monty and Amanda Worssam. The event, which was uncompetitive, was enjoyed by 15 drivers with a wide variety of horses and ponies from Shetlands to Welsh cobs.
A full programme of dates is scheduled for the summer, the next being the first one day event on Sunday, May 18, at Battle Abbey, courtesy of English Heritage.

Further details about the club can be obtained from the website www.oaksdrivingclub.com
