Boot sale: BATTEL Bonfire Boyes will hold a boot sale on Sunday April 29, 7am-1pm in the field next to the Squirrel Inn, North Trade Road, Battle. Cars cost £6, vans £8 and Luton-type vans £10 - no food or drink vendors. Details from 07832189474.

Flower club

BATTLE Flower Club’s next meeting will take place on May 1 at the Guide Hut in the North Trade Road recreation ground, Battle, 7pm for 7.30pm.

It will be an open meeting and will feature a demonstration by Jackie Arnold.

RAFA meeting

THE next meeting of RAFA Battle Branch (pub lunch followed by meeting) scheduled for Friday April 27 has been cancelled.

The branch will next meet on Friday May 25, details of which will be advised later.

Details of the proposed trip to the Battle of Britain Memorial, Capel le Ferne, will be advised to interested members shortly.

Guides’ jumble

ROBERTSBRIDGE Guides, Brownies and Rainbows will hold a jumble sale on Saturday May 12, 10am–noon in the Church Room, Fair Lane, Robertsbridge.

If anyone has any jumble, including clothes, bric-a-brac, books and toys, the group will be happy to collect it.

Playgroup’s jumble

BATTLE Pre-School Playgroup will hold a jumble sale at Asten Fields in Battle on Saturday May 12, 10am-noon, to raise funds for new resources.

Refreshments will be available.

Donations can be left at playgroup premises from Tuesday May 8.

Flamenco show

INTERNATIONAL Flamenco company Cancion Gitana presents Lament for Lorca at Battle Memorial Hall on September 27.

Doors open at 7.15pm, performance starts at 7.45pm.
