n I am sure many in the village were sad to hear of the death of June Lawrence. June and David were part of the Guinness Hop Farms for some time after Guinness sold out. June and David went to live at Hadlow. Our sympathies are with David and the family.
n Sorry to see in the list of events at the National Trust Bodiam Castle that is there is to be no event for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Queen’s son, HRH the Prince of Wales, is president of the National Trust. But perhaps some event will take place for the Prince of Wales’ mum sometime in that long weekend.
n Next service at St Giles is on February 19 (my birthday, cards to me on the Saturday please). The Holy Communion Service is at 11.15am.
n Mrs D. Churcher would like information about the Queen’s Coronation. Any information received would be most welcome on 01797 252550.
n The Bodiam Toddler Group in the Parish Room starts on Tuesday February 21, 1-3pm. £2 per adult, 50p per child (first child free). Come along and make new friends and see your old ones.
