Pett

Mary Saint

Pett Road

There was good news for the residents of Pett and Pett Level last week with the announcement by the East Sussex Fire Authority agreed to keep The Ridge Fire Station in full service. This followed public meetings in both Pett and Icklesham as well as a petition signed by 5000 people.

Don’t forget the Pett Naturalists’ monthly meeting at 7:30pm in Pett Village Hall tonight at 7:30pm. The speaker will be John Taylor with an illustrated talk on Amphibians.

Church Services during the Christmas period:

Monday December 24 -Christmas Eve – Christingle and Nativity Service, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 3pm.

Also on Christmas Eve – Midnight Mass, St Laurence, Guestling at 11:15pm.

Tuesday December 25 - Christmas Day - Parish Communion, St Mary & St Peter, Pett at 9:30am. There will be a short service of worship at the Methodist Chapel at 10:30am.

A date for the diary in 2013! Following the very successful Singalong Film Night in January 2012 when Pett Village Hall turned into South Pacific for one night, on Saturday February 2, the setting will be a Greek island! The film will be Mamma Mia! with all those wonderful songs from Abba. It promises to be a truly wonderful night with all proceeds going to the Village Hall.

And on that cheerful note finally I would like to wish all Village Voice readers a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year!
