Gang of youths
POLICE were called to Terminus Road to deal with a group of 50 abusive youngsters on Friday evening (April 4).
When officers arrived, at about 9.40pm, they tried to speak to the ringleader, but he is alleged to have shouted and sworn at them.
A 16-year-old was arrested and taken to Eastbourne Custody Centre. He was charged with threatening behaviour and obstructing police.
He was bailed to appear at Eastbourne Youth Court on April 15.


Custody
POLICE were called to Hartfield Road just before 2.30am on Sunday (April 6) to deal with reports of a burglary in progress.
Officers found the door open and arrested a man nearby.
Kenneth Vincent, from High Wycombe, was charged with breach of bail conditions and criminal damage.
He was kept in police custody to appear at Eastbourne Magistrates Court on April 7.


Bailed
A MAN has been charged with shoplifting a carpet.
An off duty police officer reported seeing a man stealing a carpet from Fludes Carpets on April 4 and loading it into a car.
Lee Molineau, 41, of Wildwood, Eastbourne, was arrested and charged with shoplifting.
He was bailed to appear at Eastbourne Magistrates Court on April 15.
