Young people in Eastbourne are being invited to check out what's happening at their local youth centre during the school holiday.
A special open day has been organised aimed at giving young people aged 11-16 a taste of what goes on at the Archery Youth Centre.

A variety of activities, workshops and refreshments will be available at the centre as well as information on the various groups and activities that operate from it.

Among the activities at the will be live music workshops, climbing walls, and surf board rides.

Youth workers will be on hand supervising activities and answering any questions.

The event has been organised by East Sussex County Council's youth development service.

The Archery's open day will run from 11am-3pm on April 15.

Entry to the event will be £1.

Cllr Meg Stroude, the county council's lead member for children and families, said, "Our youth development service does a great job for a large number of young people across the county.

"We are constantly looking to build on and develop that work within the resources we have available and this open day is about raising awareness of the activities available at the centres."
