The cricketing greats of Lashings have announced a provisional squad for their trip to Hastings next Thursday (August 7).
The Lashings World XI is expected to include Alvin Kallicharran, Chris Harris, Brendan Taylor, Alan Mullally, Dinesh Mongia, Marvan Atapattu, Rashid Latif and Aravinda de Silva.

The squad is subject to change, however, right up until the morning of the game at Horntye Park Sports Complex.

Lashings will take on Hastings Priory CC and Bexhill CC in the 1066 Sporting Club Cricket Challenge which will take the form of three Twenty20 matches.

A day of big-hitting excitement will begin at 10.30am with Lashings against Bexhill, then at 1.30pm it will be Hastings versus Bexhill before concluding with Hastings and Lashings at 4.30pm.

Admission, which includes a matchday programme, is £10 for adults, and £6 for under-16s and pensioners.

Special family tickets (for two adults and two children) cost £25. Tickets will be available on the gate on the day.
