Five teenage gang members have been convicted of a murderous attack in Mitcham in which a 16-year-old boy was killed and three others injured.
Eugene Attram was stabbed in the chest, back and head as he made his way to a fireworks display in November 2006.

His killer Ashley Rookwood, 18, muttered obscenities at the victim's family as he was taken down from the dock after being found guil
ty of murder.

Simeon Preddie, 15, Loren Fejziu, 18, Sunil Alleyne, 18, and Ebenezer Sampson, 18, were all found guilty with Rookwood of violent disorder.

Judge Anthony Morris allowed Preddie to be publicly named after hearing of his "terrible record" of crime starting from the age of 11, including knife possession and an attack on a police officer.

The judge said: "This was a terrifying gang fight between two gangs of young males in the Mitcham area in which four people were stabbed. One of them died."

An Old Bailey jury took just three hours to return unanimous verdicts against all five defendants.

Rookwood, of Kiln Mews, Tooting, south west London, Preddie, of Blackshaw Road, Tooting, Fejziu, of Labyrnum Close, Mitcham, Alleyne, of Grove Road, Mitcham, and Sampson, of Blackshaw Road, Mitcham, were all remanded in custody.

They will be sentenced on September 12.
