THE School Creative Centre in Rye opens its doors for another annual open studios event on Saturdsay October 5 and Sunday 6.

It features work by more than 30 artists, designers and makers, ranging from pottery, sculpture and fine art to textiles and jewellery.

Now in its fourth year, this highly successful event showcases the work of both award-winning and emerging artists, providing a unique opportunity to meet them first hand and find out about their techniques and inspiration.

Some of the resident artists will also be showing work: award-winning artist Peter Burgess, painter and art therapist Fiona Gilmore, photographer Christopher King, who was the Tower of London’s first artist/photographer in residence and sculptor Stefanie Rubin who will be exhibiting a selection of her drawings, 3D landscapes and installations.

Open studios runs from Friday 5 October 6-9pm and all day Saturday 6 October 10am-6pm with plenty of free parking and refreshments available. For further information on all the artists visit www.theschoolcreativecentre.co.uk
