Bonfire causes 'severe' traffic problems
A BADLY smoking bonfire attracted the attention of the Fire and Rescue Service in Haywards Heath after reports of heavy smoke drifting across the roadway.
The problems occurred just before 10pm in Colwell Close, Haywards Heath, on Friday evening with "smoke severely affecting the roadway and cars", according to the fire service.
An officer at Haywards Heath said the owner of the property where the bonfire was burning was asked to extinguish it, which he did, because the heavy smoke was affecting the immediate neighbourhood.
