A talented singer and songwriter from Balcombe is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and make a name for himself.
Jeffrey John Blows aka Solo Kid has been writing songs for more than nine years and he now says he is ready to follow his dream and become a star.

Jeffrey's Dad had a taste of stardom as a successful Neil Diamond tribute act but in his twenties decided to put his singing to one side.
Jeffrey's grandad was also a successful guitarist and singer who had performed with The Hollies.

Jeffrey, who works as a bricklayer, says he will never give up his dream. The 20-year-old said: "It is down to the individual to work hard and make it happen.

"Even though my Dad sang different stuff to me he does like it. It suprises me that when I perform in pubs a lot of adults like my music. It is good that the old and young like it, it just givees me such a buzz to see people enjoying what I do."

Jeffrey, who regularly uses a recording studio in Essex, has been performing at local open mic nights and is hoping to organise as many gigs as possible.

His music is based on his own experiences and latest song Take it to the Top is about his struggle to make a name for himself.

He said: "My songs come from different experiences and feelings. You are the one is about my girlfriend and Poverty is about how the world could change.

"I am going to keep writing songs and I will never give up."
