100,000 litres of water pumped from flooded Hooe home

Approximately 100,000 litres of water were pumped out of a property in Hooe yesterday (Monday, November 21).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Bexhill were mobilised to Straight Lane at around 2.45pm due to reports of flooding affecting electrics.

Firefighters used a submersible pump to clear approximately 100,000 litres of water from the area and isolated the electrics, as well as carrying out a home safety visit.
