TWO 12 year old boys were terrorised by burglars who knocked on the front door.

The incident took place at 10.15pm on Thursday August 22 at Golders Green.

A woman knocked on the door. When one of the boys opened the door a man entered, pushing one of the boys against a wall by the throat and threatening him.

After the assault the house was searched and a watch and jewellery valued at several thousand pounds were stolen.

The boys who had been alone in the house for only a short while, were shaken but were not physically injured.

Detective Sergeant Tony Webb said: “This was a cowardly assault on one of two boys who posed no threat to their assailants.”

The woman was white with red hair and a Scottish accent. The second suspect is described as a white man, wearing grey hoody and jeans.
