These four bonny babies were born on New Year's Day.
Baby Layla Hannah Grace Wright, weighing seven pounds and 11 ounzes, was the first to come into the world at the Conquest Hospital, being born at 3.16am on January 1.

Proud parents Laura Renel and Dominic Wright, of Harold Road, Ore, said their daughter was due to be born on December 22 last year.

Her mum had to be induced late on New Year's Eve to give birth because the tot was late.

Baby Emily Kynen was born to Hastings mum Amanda later in the day.

Mum Hellen Reeve, of Bexhill, also gave birth to Emily Grace Boyd, who weighed eight pounds three ounzes.

Rita Miah, also a Bexhill resident, gave birth to her daughter, at the Conquest on New Year's Day.
