A UFO expert from Hastings has appeared on a television show about the unexplained.
Boffin Malcolm Robinson spends his days selling adverts for The Hastings Observer. But don't be fooled by the apparent normality of his nine to five life - Mr Robinson is a highly respected authority in the weird and wonderful world of the paranormal.

The alien enthusiast is a regular on the paranormal lecture circuit and has even been hired by Hollywood legend Steven Spielberg to help look for the Loch Ness Monster.

Now the Hastings-based UFO expert has appeared on television to talk about his life's work and research.

The programme, Now That's Weird, was screened on Sky earlier this month, with Mr Robinson talking viewers through some of the many weird and unexplained cases he has researched over the years.

During filming he was interviewed for two hours along with Mark Townsend - an ordained priest and professional conjurer.

According to Mr Robinson: "The show went off well and I have been invited back to do more shows in the future.

"In fact, the show was so successful that it was repeated the following week."

Next up though for Mr Robinson is a trip to the homeland of paranormal interest - the United States of America.

Mr Robinson has been invited to speak at the world's biggest UFO Conference being held in Laughlin Nevada in February next year.

Some of the world's top UFOlogists will be presenting lectures and Malcolm will be giving talks on three of Scotland's most famous ever UFO Incidents.

In inviting the Scott to speak, the organisers of the conference have recognised Mr Robinson's work as a researcher - something he described this week as "a great honour".
