Would you like to assist your newly qualified South Coast Ambulance Service, (SECAmb) voluntary Community First Responder (CFR) - Tony Smith? He is still seeking financial assistance to cover the cost of the initial kit that SECAmb provide (but do not cover the cost). Maybe you have a business in the area or provide a service to the local community or just know people that may one day benefit from Tony’s skills and knowledge. This is a vital service to have as being a rural community he can probably arrive well before an ambulance and such saving of time can save lives. If you would like to give a donation towards this, no matter how big or small, please send your donations to Tony, cheques payable to A Smith CFR (New Account) and dropped in to him at Brownbread Horse Rescue Centre in Brownbread Street.

Help Needed! The Ashburnham and Penhurst Diamond Jubilee Committee are organising some fun races on Monday June 4 as part of the Jubilee celebrations. There are a few things we would like to borrow for this event, if you can help or would like to help out on the day please phone Louise Roberts on 01424 893976.
They need..... Space hoppers, child’s football goal, and a badminton set, gazebos and small bales of hay. They are also on the lookout for old pairs of large size wellies which would not be returned. In the marquee there will be a display of old and interesting photos of the villages and previous village events.
