FRESH on the scene, New Thing Theatre, which held a successful launch in Sidley last month, is pressing ahead with plans for a summer 2013 production of the comedy musical, Disco Inferno.
Pre-audition rehearsals will be held on Wednesday and Thursday next week, November 14 and 15, at All Saints Hall, Sidley. Both sessions will start at 7.30pm and will be followed on Sunday, November 18 with main auditions at the Phoenix Arts Centre, Parkstone Road, Hastings, between 11am and 3pm.
Martyn White, who founded New Thing Theatre in June, together with Julius Brady and Andy Mould, said: “We want to provide a modern, forward-thinking company that isn’t afraid to try new methods of producing shows within an exciting environment that has its members at its heart. Indeed, people of any age are welcome to come and join us, from actors, singers and dancers to backstage crew, dressers, wardrobe staff, prop makers and set designers.”
New Thing also plans to start several smaller theatre projects and a youth talent academy. For further details, Martyn can be contacted via e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org A Disco Inferno audition pack and more information is online at www.NewThingProductions.com.
