Andrew and Liz Bamji have received an award from Sussex Heritage Trust for their work on Norman House.
The judges said; “The owners have carried out a very thorough and competent restoration of a building that was in very poor condition.
The front elevation has been properly restored exposing the original brickwork and features allowing the fabric to breath.
“The alterations have been sensitively carried out in a seamless manner appropriate to the character of the building. The project incorporates the ecological needs of the age within the constraints of the building”.
It follows an earlier award for the same project given by Rye Conservation Society.
