Beckley

VILLAGE CALENDAR IDEA: Remember the village cookbook? This year Tina is considering making a village calendar to raise funds to support the Better Beckley Project. Do you have any old interesting photos of Beckley in the past or its residents that you think would make an interesting addition to a village calendar? If so please can email her @tal814@live.co.uk with details

CAN YOU HELP: With the recent changes in our local bus services, many in our village who rely on buses are finding it difficult to attend the Northiam surgery without a long wait (up to two hours) for a bus after their appointment. We would like to set up a voluntary driver service to ease this problem and are looking for two types of volunteer: two to three people who could accept phone calls from those needing a lift and act as a co-ordinator and a number of drivers who could spare a little time to provide the lifts on an informal rota basis. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mike Rowe on 01797 260806 or alternatively email beckleyvillagevoice@live.co.uk.
