A SURF simulator was among the fun challenges enjoyed when Beckley School held its Summer Fete on Saturday.
Other attractions included an assualt course, a penalty shootout and a fitness challenge run by Excel Fitness.
Tina Langmead, from Beckley School Association, said: “There was an excellent turn out of villagers who enjoyed arena displays of maypole dancing, taekwondo, Zumba and Rye Dance.
“School head Mrs Ford explained that this was a real community fete this year and that other clubs and societies such as Beckley Guides and the Friends of the Church had been invited to run stalls for their own causes/benefits.
“The queue for the barbecue never diminshed and all the cakes and ice creams were well recieved.
“We would like to thank everyone who attended and all the stall holders for making this one of our best fetes ever.
“All the money raised by the School Association will be put towards some giant musical instruments for use in the playground and new technology equipment such as I Pads.”
