AROUND one hundred people took part in a demonstration against the introduction of the ‘bedroom tax’ on Saturday (March 16) in the town centre.

The housing benefit change coming into effect from April, affecting hundreds of local residents, will mean those who are classed as having a spare bedroom will see a reduction in benefit payment.
