Every year Gwen and Alan Karn take their cycles and travelled annually between churches to raise funds for the Sussex Historic Churches Trust that is shared between the trust and St Giles. They raised £425 for 2012 over the year and have raised £4,416.25. Thank you to Gwen and Alan for their efforts and support.
Ghosts at Bodiam Castle, a very dear friend of Boodiam, William Past, who did have a home in the castle grounds did say he saw a lady in red come across the car park and also the late Peter Kynvin. Both had not been in the Castle inn! Has anyone heard of the lady in red at Bodiam Castle. Information to me please.
In last weeks village voice I said that every six years a new church electorial roll is prepared. That is right, but what was not right was that I said it was Bodiam Parish Council register of electors. It is St Giles’ electoral roll. I hope the vicar of Bodiam still talk to me.
I have said before Helen Dawson will be 90 on February 21. Helen has told me she will be on the top green from 9am to about 11am to have all her presents from her many friends. Helen feels her house will be far too small.
The National Trust Bodiam Castle events are out and about. Let’s hope we do not have cars up to the church of England primary school this year. I know that the National Trust had a drop in visitors but what about the people of Bodiam who may have to call the emergency services. Please, national Trust, take this on board.
