Bodiam

Geoffrey Goodsell, 13 Levetts Lane

What a place to live. We have snow so no post. The school closed. No rubbish collections, yet just parts of Bodiam did. So why not Levetts Lane that has 40 homes I would like to know? But please dear friends of Rother Council, do not tell me you could not get into Levetts Lane (you could). I have a home at 13.

The Easter services for St Giles are a Good Friday Service at 11.15am and East Sunday, 11.15am and the vicar of Bodiam will take all the services.

The 349 Sunday and Bank Holiday bus service resumes again on Good Friday. This service is operated by Stagecoach, which runs from Hastings, Bodiam, Sandhurst and Hawkhurst approximately every two hours with timetables at the Castle Inn, the National Trust or phone 01580 830211. If one from Bodiam or around would like to connect with other Sunday services it is best to get off at Hawkhurst Moor. We are very fortunate to have the bus service. So if you would like to get away for a short time from the wife or the mother-in-law, get on the bus. Or perhaps taken them with you. This will all help the 349 bus service that is operated by Stagecoach on behalf of East Sussex County Council.

I went from Bodiam to Ashford on the Battle Area Community Transport bus. This is free to passengers using their bus pass. All it cost me was £5.99 for a meal. It was on time and the driver was very good. The next service, and you can get off at Tenterden, is on April 26. To book your seat phone Lyn on 01424 772001. Please do all you can to support this service.

The next meeting of the parish council is on March 25, 7pm in the Parish Room.

We have a number of people who are far from the best of health in Bodiam. I am sure the families have the full support of Bodiam.
