Bodiam

Road Closure: I am told that whilst the Bodiam to Sandhurst Road is closed for essential repairs to the Bridge at Peter’s Green until 9th October, the Bus service 349 will operate a revised route but will still take in Bodiam Village. Stagecoach regret any inconvenience caused which is beyond their control. For Customer Services phone 08456 002299.

Pub Quiz: Do not forget St Giles Church Pub Quiz on the 7th October 7.30 p.m. at the Castle Inn. Tickets £12 each including supper. Please book table in advance, call Van Keeling on 01580 850342.

Cricket Fixture: The Village Cricket Club are away to Beckley on the 27th September with a 1 p.m. start. This is the last game of the season and so the Club look to indoor cricket.

Macmillan: I had a phone call from Staplecross the other day to tell me that a Macmillan Coffee Morning will take place today 25th September in the Village Hall

10 a.m. onwards. I did a Guess How Many Coffee Beans in the Jar for the worthy Macmillan Fund and the £20 prize was won by S.K. Kerry of Sandhurst. Scrutineer was Phyllis of Bodiam and her decision is final. The grand total to Macmillan was £23.00.
