Cricket club: the village cricket club takes on Northiam on July 24 with a 2:30 PM start at Northiam.

Bodium preschool: Bodium preschool garden redevelopment will take place on July 24 at 11 AM. We hope this will make it enjoyable for the little people. The preschool would like help with input and ideas for improvements. Refreshments will be on hand cakes etcetera. Please support.

Parish Council: the next meeting of the parish council will be on July 25 in the parish room. This meeting will start at 7:30 PM.

Mobile library: the mobile library comes to Levett’s Lane on July 28 from 11:30 to 11:55 AM.

The Parker Ashcombe Trust: people ask me about the Parker Ashcombe Trust in Bodiam. The trust owns two properties, the alms house with four one-bedroom flats and Rectory Cottage which also houses the Parish Room. This can be hired for meetings as well as the houses. There is an ice house at the Rectory Cottage. The alms house and all the properties are currently occupied and the trust is run by five trustees.

Nick Waterhouse: all the very best to Nick Waterhouse head of car parks at the National Trust, Bodiam Castle. He has left the trust after years of good service.
