THE preschool has a new chairman and some new committee members. The chairman is Mrs Kia Hannan. The preschool is planning a lot of activities around the Olympics and is planning to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee by having a preschool-style street party in the Parish Room.

The next committee meeting of the Levetts Lane Residents’ Association will take place on April 10, 7.30pm and the AGM on May 14 at 7.30pm, all in the Parish Room. The Easter event will take place on April 8. Raffle tickets are on sale.

More news on the St Giles Church and Jubilee Plant Sale and Flower Festival on July 14-15, 10am to 4.30pm both days. Also tea and refreshments. Entrance free, donations welcome in aid of church funds. For more information, call Liz Moore on 01580 752052.

Pam Marsh would like to thank the people of Bodiam who sent her the very nice flowers. Very kind of them all. We all know Pam will soon be running around.

Do not forget this Easter we now have a Bank Holiday and Sunday bus service, so please do not tell me you cannot get out and about.

Tony and Phyllis Landels, of Levetts Lane, are to celebrate 30 years of marriage on April 8. I said to Tony ‘How are you to celebrate, with a minute’s silence?’. Have a great day you two.

Do not forget the refuse lorry will be round on Bank Holiday Monday, so put your bins out by 7am.

Geoffrey Goodsell, 13 Levetts Lane.
