THE next fixture for the village cricket club is on July 29 with a 1.30pm start at home to Magdalen CC.
Please keep all fingers crossed for no rain.
Mrs D Churcher has made a request for memories of the Bodiam Coronation Day in 1952. There must be folk with memories to tell. If anyone can help, please call 01797 252550.
Bodiam is losing patience with UK Power. On July 15 we had a power cut that seemed, for some parts of the village, to go on for most of the day. We have a number of businesses who need power to run and no way does all this help. Come on UK Power, sort it all out and get on with the work that you said you would do for Bodiam.
Walking for Health walks take place every Tuesday at 11am and 2pm at Bodiam Castle. The 11am walk is around the castle and the 2pm walk is around Bodiam.
The pre-school sports afternoon raffle made £47. It was good to see the little people take part in St Giles’ Flower Festival. The new number one at the pre-school will be Mrs Kia Hannan. Kia has two children and I am sure we will see the pre-school go from strength to strength. For information about the pre-school, phone 01580 830615 or 01580 755525.
The Levetts Lane Fun Day to me seemed that no so many people came, but it was fun. Sorry not to see Vera Sims at the event due to illness. We miss you Vera. But the next event is the boot sale on August 27 in the Castle Inn garden. For more information and to book a boot, phone Tracy on 01580 830981.
