Friday 15 July: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am. Brede Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon as usual with many items for sale and for you to peruse. Brede Short Mat Bowlers will be in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm.

Saturday 16 July: Emma’s baby ballet is in Brede Village Hall from 9am.

Sunday 17 July: Church Services this morning are as follows: Father Anthony White conducts the Mass service at 9.00 am in St Theresa’s Catholic Church on the old Northiam Road, (contact 01424 773125). At St George’s Church the Sung Eucharist starts at 9.30am and the Bells at St George’s Church will be rung in Honour of HM the Queen. Father Martin’s number is 01424 883408 or visit www.stgeorgesbrede.org.uk. At 10.30am the Reverend Richard Dengate will be taking the service in Broad Oak Methodist Church, please contact the Pastoral Minister Peggy Heim on 01424 422350.

Monday 18 July: The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, they have some spaces. The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane, Beavers Boys and girls are welcome from 6 years old they meet from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Cubs is from 6.30 -8pm and are 8-10½ years old, there are also vacancies for children to join, the Contact is Colin Ward 01424 852413. Whist players is in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm.

Tuesday 19 July: Pilates in Udimore Community Hall at 9.15am. Painting for Pleasure in Brede Village Hall at 9.30am. Brede Scouts meet, from 7pm – 9pm in the Scout Hut and any young person 10½ or over is welcome. The contact is Andy Bishop 07811339626

Wednesday 20 July: Pilates with Laura in Udimore Community Hall at 9.15am. The Methodist Open Door group have an outing planned for today.

Friday 22 July: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am. Brede Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon and Brede Short Mat Bowlers will be in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. Hastings & St Leonards Dementia Action Alliance presents an evening of Midsummer Music with Roger Wilcock & Hastings Big Choir. In St Thomas of Canterbury Church Magdalen Road, St Leonards on Sea TN37 6ET 7pm for 7.30pm. Tickets are £10.00 (£8.00 cons) & include refreshments. They can be purchased in advance from Hastings Tourist Information Centre Aquila House, Breeds Place TN34 3UY or Tel: 01424 451111. Prepaid Tickets can be collected at the door. Proceeds to HSLDAA & Church.

Sunday 24 July: Brede Firefighters Fete begins at 1pm in the Broad Oak Recreation Ground. There will be lots of fun things to see and do. Why not bring a picnic or buy a beef burger, hot dog, beer or cup of tea so we can celebrate the Queen’s Birthday together as it was cancelled back in June because of the rain?

Bank Holiday Monday 29 August: Red Lion Car Boot Sale. Bring your unwanted items to sell from 9am until 12 noon. Free pitches, free entrance! We have some trestle tables, first come first served! Reserve a pitch by calling 01424 882188 or email [email protected]. Site open 8am for traders.
