Today is Women’s World Day of Prayer. This year the service for our area is being held in the Assumption of the Blessed Mary and St Nicholas Church in Etchingham at 10.30am. The service prepared by Christian women of France, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. All are welcome to go along and join the service. Refreshments will be available at the end.
Musical Meerkats start a new term today, Friday. It is just a four week term and costs £20. There is a free taster session available if you would like to try before you buy. Reduced sessions for brother or sister of 9 months & over at £4. Please ring Rachel if you wish to attend on 07876 787227.
Lynda and Richard Maude-Roxby invite you for afternoon tea on Monday, in aid of MacMillan Nurses, East Sussex. From 2.30pm they will be pleased to see you at Mount House, High Street Burwash. Entry is £5 and there will be a bring & buy and a raffle. Everyone is welcome.
The next monthly walk for strollers will be held on Wednesday morning. Ijon Jenner will take you on a gentle, shorter walk, than that of the Parish footpath walks. Anyone who is able to walk up to 4 miles will enjoy the strolls through the beautiful countryside. If you require more information please call Ijon on 01435 882045.
The next monthly whist drive will take place on Thursday evening at the Burwash village hall, at 7.30pm. These fun evenings are great for making friends and socialising. You do not need a partner to be able to come, but you will be given a warm welcome. Entry is £3 for twenty hands of cards and light refreshments. A raffle is also held. The village hall committee are holding a table top sale at the end of March on Saturday 30th. Tables are bookable in advance by at £5 by calling Mary Taylor or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org Please makes sure you add your own telephone number to your booking/type of stall you will be running.
We have another postal quiz up and running. This time the answers are all sweets and chocolates. A set of 100 questions costs £2 and you have until 20th April to complete and return. All the proceeds this time will go to the Christmas Get Together lunch for the senior members of our community, which is all done by volunteers at the Bear.
