Both our churches will be holding Vigil Before the Cross today, good Friday. In St Bartholomew’s and St Philip’s it is being held from 2pm. Again both churches will hold family communion on Easter Sunday St Bartholomew’s at 10am and St Philip’s at 10.30am. You are all very welcome to go along and join them.
The Burwash Village Hall committee are holding a table top sale/coffee morning, tomorrow, Saturday, from 9.30am until 12 noon. The will be crafts, cakes, tombola, raffle, books and puzzles bric a brac and tea/coffee. Entrance is 25p and all proceeds towards the redecoration of the main hall this summer. Tables may still be available by calling Mary Taylor on 01435 882107 at £5, £6 on the day. Please do go along and support them.
The Burwash Common After 8 club will meet on Wednesday evening at the Pavilion, from 8pm. This lively group for ladies enjoy a varied programme of mmetings and events throuhg the year. On Wednesday Peter Castle will explain some of the intracaies of Digital Photography. If you would like to join them or to know more about this group, please call Jan MacCartney on 01435 882117.
Next Saturday 6th April, the Burwash Horticultural Society will be holding their Spring Show & floral Art classes. It will be staged in the Pavilion at The Swan Meadow playing fields, Burwash, from 9am, with visitors allowed in from 2.15pm. Schedules are available from The Burwash News Agents, and they should be returned back to the newsagents by mid-day on Thursday 4th.
