Burwash

Theatre: Once again the actors of the Rude Mechanical Theatre company gave Burwash a night of ribald delights. The weather was perfect for this outdoor theatre production of Babbi Babbett, and the audience were able to relax knowing they wouldn’t get wet this time. Picnics and wine were much enjoyed as was the warm refreshments served by the playing fields. Thank you to everyone who continues to support this yearly event.

Coffee: Thank you to everyone who supported the coffee morning in the Burwash village hall last Saturday morning in aid of St Michael’s Hospice. The cake stall was positively groaning with the wonderful array of beautiful home made cakes and biscuits, like wise the raffle table, some many great prizes. The tombola also had a table full of prizes. These along with the bric a brac, books and entry fee helped us to raise £405 on the day. Our grateful thanks to Peta Highton who very kindly sold the last of the cakes after church on Sunday to make a further £61.50. The hospice stall at the sale raised £67.50 making £534. We only have the collection box money to add to this for a final figure. My grateful thanks to all the wonderful people who donated items to the sale but especially to those who took the time to run the stalls and come and join us for coffee.
