Burwash

Music: You are all invited to go along the Pavilion in Burwash Common for the monthly music night. The fun is at 8pm this evening and will include local talented musicians and singers from around the three villages. Entry is free and the licenced bar will be open. Do go along and give your support, you will be pleasantly surprised how good they are.

Jumble: Tomorrow afternoon, the Brownies and Guides will be holding one of their jumble sales. It will be in the village hall from 2.30pm.All the usual stalls jumble, bric a brac, book & toys, cakes, raffle, tombola and refreshments. All funds to the help the Burwash Guide group.

Annual Meeting: On Sunday the Annual Church meeting will be held in St Bartholomew’s church. It will follow on from the 10am service. Technically two meetings, the first will be the election of the church wardens at which anyone on the electoral roll is elegible to vote. The second one is for the accounts with reports on the last years activities and event. Election to various posts will be held. written reports and the accounts are available on the church notice board.

Party: On Sunday you are invited to join in the party on the green at Hornbeam, to help celebrate St George’s day. From around mid-day you can join in the fun, with games for the kids. Take your own food, seating drinks etc. A barbecue will be available for your burgers and steaks etc. Meet new friends and chat with old. Always a good event which gets bigger each year.

Afternoon Tea: You are invited to go along to 10 Rother View on Monday from 3 to 4.30pm for a cuppa and cake in aid of Admiral Nurses. Join your hostess Sue Kork for a delicious cup of tea and home made cake. Entry is £3.00

Coffee: The is to be a coffee morning at Gideon house on Wednesday afternoon for the Burwash ladies Group, Hostess Caroline Hubbard would be delighted to have you join her.

Soup: Another of the delicious soup lunches is being held on Thursday at the village hall from 12.30pm. There will be five different soups to try and lots of naughty but nice desserts too. Try one try them all. Entry is £7.50 and includes soft drinks. There will also be a raffle. We would be delighted to see you there. Call Mary Taylor on 01435 882107 for more details. No need to pre-book just turn up. It would be nice if you know you are definitely coming to hear from you too. All proceeds towards the last money for the windows and the refurbishment of the village hall toilets.
