Tonight is music night at the Pavilion in Burwash Common, when local singers and musicians will be playing for your pleasure.

Tonight is music night at the Pavilion in Burwash Common, when local singers and musicians will be playing for your pleasure. We have some truely talented artists in our area and if you would like to do a turn, go along and let it be known, you will be given a warm welcome. The licensed bar will be open, so do go along and support the acts. .

Tomorrow morning (Saturday) the village hall committee are holding a table top sale & coffee morning, at the Burwash Village hall from 10am until noon. There are a few tables still available at £6 each, and can be booked by calling Shirley Viney on 01435 882497. Refreshments will be available, so why not come and browse the stalls of gifts and cards and other items. Setting up from 9am.

Have you booked your pitch for the August bank holiday fair. This is always on the Monday, and has a great following with people coming from far and wide. Stalls can be local groups, charity or commercial. To book a site please call Steve Mintram on 01435 882444. The site is open from 8am for setting up and the fair begins at 1pm. until 5pm. Book now to be sure of a pitch.

The Burwash Common summer fete is being held on 8th September. I know this is early, but they are in need of helpers as many of their regular who run the stalls are away that weekend. If you can spare a few hours please call Jan McCartney on 01435 882117.

The Burwash Horticultural society Summer show is being held on Saturday 4th August at the Swan Meadow Playing fields Burwash. Schedule and entry forms are available from The Burwash News Agents. Entries should be returned by Wednesday evening 1st August. The show always has classes for locals, children, photography and cooking as well as vegetables, plants flowers and floral art.

As the children begin their summer holidays, mums and dads are looking for ways to keep them entertained. If you have anything happening that would attract them, then why not let me tell my readers.
