Talking about the school, they are asking for our votes to help them to win £5,000 from Lloyds Banking Group. This will enable them to set up local projects within the school and the village community. They have reached the last FOUR, so now it’s all down to us to give them our votes!
There are leaflets in the village shop about this and a piece in the Parish Magazine, but basically all you need to do is to log on to www.lloydsbankinggroupcommunities.com Where it says ‘Vote for your Local Organisation’ enter the postcode TN33 9DP to register your vote. You need to enter your name and email address and Lloyds will email you with a link to click on and your vote is registered. It’s very easy, only takes a minute and could help raise £5,000 for the school!
Next Sunday the Parish Communion service at St Laurence Church will be at the usual time of 9.15am.
A Treasure Hunt to raise funds for St Laurence Church will take place on Sunday 15th July, starting from the village car park at 2.30pm. Entry to the Treasure Hunt will cost £2.50 for an adult, £1 for a child and a family ticket to cover two adults and two or more children will cost £6.50. Directions and clues, with questions to answer and treasure to collect, will make this an afternoon of fun on foot, in and around Catsfield village, with golden treasure to be won! Father Michael has kindly invited the treasure seekers to the garden of The Rectory at the end of the hunt, where he will host light refreshments.
The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library makes its usual fortnightly visit to the space outside the Village Hall on Saturday afternoon at 4.15pm-4.45pm.
Don’t forget that the Snooker Room, upstairs above the village hall is available to hire. It can be booked from 9am – 8pm for £4 an hour by contacting Carol on 01424 893526
The Parish Council meets this Wednesday at 7.30pm in Hermon Cottage and anyone is welcome to attend.
