RYE College is set to bring a touch of Rio to the streets of Rye on Saturday when it holds its annual street carnival.
A colourful procession will set off from the school at 11.30am and follow a route through the Landgate Arch, along the High Street, Mint, Cinque Ports Street and Ferry Road back to the college.
The procession features students in eye-catching costumes and the college’s lively latin American Blocco drum band.
Students from the college have already caused a stir with processsions in Brighton and France and the Rye Carnival has becme a popular annual event.
The procession, which takes around an hour, will be followed by a Summer Fair at the College with stalls, refreshments and lots of other attractions.
