Countess of Wessex to land in Udimore

UDIMORE is getting set to welcome the Countess of Wessex with the village’s new hall getting the Royal seal of approval next week.

The Countess will arrive by helicopter, landing on the cricket field on Wednesday at 2pm.

She will be greeted by the Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex before making her way to the Hall to officially open it.

Linda Harland, from the hall committee, said; “This new community hall opened informally last year with the beautiful building and setting already attracting many users.

“We are very proud that the Countess has found time in her busy schedule to meet many of the Udimore villagers, fund givers, and all those who have supported the development and building of the hall.”
